What your sellers get

Sellers join your marketplace, not Stoily. Each one gets three things.

  • An application page

    Sellers apply from a page on your storefront. Once you approve one, they get an invitation to set up their seller account.

  • A page on your storefront

    Every seller gets a page on your storefront with their products and profile, so shoppers can browse one seller at a time.

  • Their own seller portal

    Each seller gets a portal to manage listings, orders, earnings and messages.

Fees

What the marketplace costs

A percentage of your sellers' sales, set by your plan.

Stoily charges a percentage of the sales your third-party sellers make: 8% on Standard, 5% on Professional, 3% on Business and 1% on Enterprise. It is invoiced to you, and it is never deducted from your sellers' earnings.

Your own sales are never charged a percentage. Seller limits are 100 on Standard, 200 on Professional, 300 on Business and 1,000 on Enterprise.

When you switch the marketplace on, you accept the Marketplace Operator Terms. They set out who runs the marketplace and who pays whom.

Each seller accepts the Seller Agreement when they join your marketplace.

From switch-on to the first seller sale

    Switch it on

    Turn on the marketplace in your admin and accept the Marketplace Operator Terms. Connect the account you will pay sellers from.

  2. Step 02

    Approve your sellers

    Sellers apply from your storefront. You approve them, and each one gets an invitation to set up their seller account.

  3. Step 03

    Sell and pay out

    Shoppers buy seller products in your normal checkout. You keep your commission and pay each seller their share.

Frequently asked questions

It is software that lets several independent sellers list products in one online store. The store owner approves the sellers, sets the commission and pays each seller their share. On Stoily, the marketplace runs inside your own store, on your own domain.

From Standard up. Each plan has its own rate on seller sales and its own seller limit, and the rate falls as your plan rises. Both are listed on this page, under “What the marketplace costs”.
